…Cinderella!

We’re loving this year’s panto at the Theatre Royal Plymouth with families flocking to enjoy all of the traditional ingredients you expect from a great cast and a real ‘feel good’ show!

Well, the TRP team is already whetting our appetite by announcing next year’s panto will be… Cinderella! It’s magical news for all of us as we can look forward to enjoying a timeless fairytale favourite.

It’s one of the world’s best-loved pantomimes and is certain to deliver laugh-out-loud comedy with stunning scenery. And let’s not forget there’ll be plenty of boos and hisses – plus beautiful costumes from The London Palladium.

Cinderella will be produced by the world’s biggest pantomime producer, Crossroads Pantomimes. They’re also the team behind this year’s production of Dick Whittington.

It’s a chance for all of us to join Cinders as she goes from rags to riches with a goal of outwitting her very wicked sisters – and securing the chance to meet her very own Prince Charming.

Will she make it to The Ball? And, if she does, what happens if her coach turns into a pumpkin? And will she lose her shoe? If she does, will it be found? If it is… will she be reunited with it – and find true love?

‘We are thrilled to have opened Dick Whittington and to reveal that Cinderella will follow in its footsteps next year,’ says James Mackenzie-Blackman, Theatre Royal Plymouth’s Chief Executive and Executive Producer.

‘Our pantomime is a highlight of the festive season for so many families, and we can’t wait to bring this magical story to life with all the laughter and joy our audiences expect.’

This year’s pantomime, Dick Whittington, runs until Saturday, 10 January. It features television, recording, musical theatre and pantomime star Shane Richie as Dick Whittington. Panto dame Iain Stuart Robertson stars as Sarah, The Cook.

And, of course, there’s Plymouth panto favourite Samuel Holmes as the Spirit of Bow Bells. They’re joined by musical theatre stars Anne Smith as Queen Rat, Emily Beth Harrington as Alice Fitzwarren, Kira McPherson as Kitty Cat.

Casting for Cinderella will be announced in 2026 with tickets expected to go on sale soon.
