He’ll be joined by a number of high profile contributors, including: wellbeing influencer Jasmine Hemsley, the gut health doctor Megan Rossi, sleep specialist Kathyrn Pinkham and bestselling author James Davies.

The Joe Wicks Festival promises to have a host of activities for everyone to enjoy. These range from sounds baths with Jasmine Hemsley through to yoga accompanied by live music. There’s also sleep sessions and a live DJ set.

‘I’m super excited to be launching my very first Joe Wicks Festival at Kew this summer,’ says Joe.

‘I love bringing my own family to this incredible place and can’t wait to see people of all ages come together to experience the benefits of nature whilst learning new skills, taking part in some great workouts, and enjoying delicious food.’

‘We’ll be throwing in some surprises along the way, so I’d love you guys to join us and can’t wait to see you there.’

Festival set in 320 acre UNESCO World Heritage site

The festival is taking place against the backdrop of a 320 acre UNESCO World Heritage site which is home to more than 17,000 plant species.

It’ll be hosted by Kew ambassador and ex-Blue Peter presenter Konnie Huq, who will bring together a variety of much-loved fitness and wellness experts for the ultimate feel-good day out

The main stage will host a varied programme of fitness activities lead by Joe and guest experts.

A mass warm-up promises to open the festival with a bang before you can enjoy yoga and sound baths. There will even be a mass PE session with Joe as a Finale to end the day on a high.

The event will include a ‘ReConnect’ zone which’ll allow you to focus on your own physical and mental wellbeing. There’s a chance to learn more about Gut Health with Dr Megan Rossi.

There will also be a Menopause Panel chaired by Kate Rowe-Ham and James Davies will talk through the ‘reset system’ which is a holistic approach aimed at rejuvenating the body and mind.

Kate and Toby Oliver will be running a ‘Positive Living’ talk while Kathryn Pinkham offers a sleep session – something which is crucial for all of us in helping to reduce our own stress levels and allowing us to feel more relaxed.

Relaxation for wellness

Organisers are also establishing a ‘retreat’ zone which will be a relaxation area solely  dedicated to wellness and is designed to be ‘a place to escape the stresses’ of everyday life. The section will include: mediation, breath therapy and tai chi.

Children and families can enjoy book readings, crafts and family-friendly fitness in the RePlay area which is designed to be fun for all the family!

The jam-packed schedule includes meet and greets with Joe, book readings and activities lead by Nipperbout.

Research conducted as part of Kew’s Nature Unlocked project revealed spending just ten minutes in a green space can lower your resting heart rate.

As such, organisers say Kew Gardens is the perfect venue for the festival which has been designed with mental and physical wellbeing in mind.

The day long feel good festival takes place on Sunday 7 July 2024. It starts at 0930 and finishes at 1800.
