Codebreakers: Women in Tech set to encourage uptake in STEM industry

A brand new podcast series is being launched to celebrate women working in the tech sector with the aim of encourage an increase in female recruitment into a number of key roles across the region.

Timewade recently launched the podcast which aims to ‘showcase the experiences, challenges, and triumphs of women in the South West tech industry.’ The team works with small and medium enterprises across the region.

The first episodes are available on Spotify and Apple podcasts. The series is aimed at females who’re looking to build careers in the tech sector.

‘I’m really excited to be launching the Code Breakers podcast, where I get to meet inspiring women from across the region’s tech sector,’ explains podcast host, Candice Walters, Business Technology Consultant at Timewade,

‘From hearing how they discovered their passion for technology, to learning about how they’ve navigated this male-dominated industry, I hope others can take away valuable lessons and inspiration for their own journey into tech.’

It’s envisaged the podcasts will provide insights and inspiration from tech leaders who’ve successfully navigated the industry.

The series will feature interviews with an array of inspiring women, including Niki Davies, Director at Software Cornwall along with Emily Hill, CEO at Ghyston Software and Dr Samantha Lavender, Director at Pixalytics.
