A campaign highlighting extraordinary people is now entering its closing weeks for nominations.

Organisers say it’s an opportunity to shines a light on those who quietly show courage every day: people who keep going despite illness, loss, hardship or personal struggle. Their bravery may not make headlines, but it profoundly impacts those around them.

Breaktime News reported on the campaign’s autumn launch which saw dozens of people in a series of striking portraits which told their powerful stories of resilience, strength and hope.

Organisers at The Family Law Company explain that nominations are open until January 31 and it’s simple to put forward someone who you feel should be recognised for their courage.

‘Everyday bravery doesn’t come with rules,’ says Kerry England, The Family Law Company Director

You simply explain how you believe they have shown bravery and submit your entry through the Everyday Bravery Campaign website. One nominee will go on to receive a luxury break at the award-winning Bovey Castle Hotel and Spa.

‘Everyday bravery doesn’t come with rules. Most nominees didn’t realise anyone saw them as brave — they simply did what they needed to do. That’s exactly the kind of person we hope people will nominate,’ says Kerry England, The Family Law Company Director.

‘Anyone can nominate someone they believe has shown bravery. Once submitted, the nominee is invited to share more about their story if they wish.’

‘Our panel reads every nomination before selecting the individual who will enjoy a well-deserved break at Bovey Castle.’

‘Invited to share more about their story’

Last year, nominations highlighted an incredible range of stories. This included a nurse who continued caring for patients while undergoing her own treatment and a friend who channelled her grief into founding a charity for bereaved families.

Zoe was selected as last year’s nominee and went on to create those all-important cherished, and special, memories created by a two night stay at Bovey Castle and Spa.

‘I had the best time! It was honestly such an incredible experience, I can’t even put it into words. Thank you once again for such an amazing opportunity — it still feels so surreal.’
