New Space Architecture announces acquisition

One of Devon’s top architectural teams recently announced its significant expansion following the acquisition of a prominent local practice.

New Space Architecture is a leading architectural firm which is well known for its innovative and award-winning designs.

Its recent announcement for its acquisition of 16a Architecture is seen as a ‘significant step in New Space Architecture’s growth and commitment to delivering exceptional architectural solutions across the UK.’

16a Architecture was rebranded in 2016 which set the stage for its evolution into a prominent architectural practice. It had been established in 2005 by Vaughn Allington as Ennerji Projects.

The Topsham based Founding Director will be joining New Space Architecture later this month alongside Design Technician, Zac May.

It’s envisaged the move will bring a wealth of experience and creativity to the team as well as an impressive portfolio of super homes and commercial developments.

New Space Architecture, founded in 2016 by Mitch Temple, has established itself as a prominent player in the architectural landscape.

It’s renowned for its outstanding work and the firm has garnered acclaim both locally and nationally.

Regional winner

It was recently selected as a regional South West winner for the LABC Best Partnership with a Local Authority Building Control Team Award for a second year running.

Notable projects include collaborations with the recently completed Budleigh Salterton Cricket Club along with Exmouth Boxing Club and the ‘Gather’ Bistro in Scotland.

‘We are incredibly excited about the merger with 16a Architecture, a union that cements our commitment to unparalleled innovation and design,’ says Mitch Temple, Founder of New Space Architecture.

‘This collaboration not only amplifies our creative prowess but also translates into an immense benefit for our clients, ensuring an even more comprehensive and visionary approach to every project, both present and future.’

‘I have consistently admired New Space Architecture from afar for their creativity and as clear leaders within the industry,’ explains Vaughn Allington, who joins New Space Architecture as an Associate Director.

‘I was humbled to be approached about this acquisition and am excited about adding 16a Architecture’s own vast experience and expertise to the New Space team.’

The acquisition of 16a Architecture not only expands New Space Architecture’s talent pool but also strengthens its position as a leading architectural firm.

The combined experience and skill sets of the two teams will undoubtedly bring about exciting opportunities for creative collaboration and groundbreaking design.
