Moretonhampstead’s 250 year old The White Hart Hotel ‘ideal for hosting’

The White Hart Hotel recently reopened its doors under new ownership following a refurbishment which cost £1/2 million. The 28-room hotel has a 250 year history.

For locals and visitors alike, the hotel is seen as a perfect base for exploring Devon’s remarkable beaches, enjoying outdoor country pursuits – or seeking a peaceful retreat.

The Jackson family acquired the White Hart Hotel in February last year and have refurbished the bars, restaurant, kitchen, courtyard and communal spaces. Their goal is to preserve the building’s rich history and provide ‘enhanced comfort and service.’

They bring a wealth of experience from their previously successful ownership of the iconic Jamaica Inn on Bodmin Moor.

The team has a strong focus on its restaurant with the aim of continuing the ‘Jackson’s tradition of serving hearty, traditional English fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week – including a popular Sunday Roast.’

They add that the hotel’s function space is ‘ideal for hosting a variety of occasions and local events that ensure the hotel remains a vibrant hub of the community.’
