Kents Cavern hosting ‘For the Love of Cheese’ event
This Valentine’s Day, indulge in an extraordinary, adults-only, cheese-filled adventure at Kents Cavern.
Taking place on Friday 14 February (at 7 p.m.), Cheese Queens has partnered with Kents Cavern to present their ‘For the Love of Cheese’ event. It’s seen as a truly unique and unforgettable celebration of romance, history, and artisanal flavours.
Unlike typical cheese-tasting events, ‘For the Love of Cheese’ offers an all-encompassing cheese-dining experience set in one of Britain’s most fascinating prehistoric sites.
Whether you’re celebrating with a partner or your closest friends, this unique event promises to be a sensory delight, blending the charm of ancient caves with the indulgence of local cheeses.
Attendees will be greeted with a warm welcome and a glass of Hunts cider alongside a specially selected cheese accompaniment.
Guests will then embark on a captivating guided tour through the historic caves, which includes a visit to the very section where Kents Cavern’s own Cheddar matures.
After soaking in the cave’s natural beauty, it’s lights out and the culinary adventure begins with a cheese taste-testing experience in complete darkness. Without visual cues, every bite bursts with intensified flavour and texture.
Hosting truly unique experiences at a distinctive location
Afterwards, a decadent, cheese-themed dinner awaits at the cosy Firestone Cafe, where guests will meet the Cheese Queens in person to discuss tips and insights into the world of cheese, taking their love of fromage to a whole new level.
Organisers say the ‘For the Love of Cheese’ has stemmed from Kents Cavern’s desire to host truly unique experiences in their distinctive location – and it is the first of many events taking place throughout the year.
As well as cheese-tasting, Kents Cavern will also play host to an Agatha Christie themed tour and a series of yoga classes.
