‘Greater freedom to celebrate our individuality’

Ask guests what they most love about The Devon Hotel and they might respond by telling you about the food, the hospitality or the elegant architecture. Five star reviews are in plentiful supply.

Well, the team is now marking a new chapter in their history as they begin to manage their own operations and brand identity. The hotel is stepping into independence from the Brend Hotel Group while maintaining its hospitality under the Brend family.

‘We are incredibly proud of our history as part of the Brend Hotel Group,’ says Mark Brend, Director.

‘As we move into this exciting new chapter, we want to reassure our guests that the essence of The Devon Hotel remains unchanged.’

‘The familiar team members and hallmark touches that our guests know and love will continue, and we are committed to delivering the same outstanding hospitality with improved measures throughout, with even greater freedom to celebrate our individuality and connection to the local community.’

The team explain that the transition marks a natural evolution for them. The Devon Hotel might now be operating under its own brand but it’s staying firmly rooted in the Brend family ownership.

And that means guests can expect the same welcoming faces and the same standards which have helped to build up the hotel’s exceptional reputation.

The Devon Hotel is seen as being one of Exeter’s most enduring and popular hotels with its continued reputation for locally inspired menus and West Country hospitality.

It’s location is perfect for business stays and visitors alike with a plethora of places to visit, including Exeter Cathedral, the City’s Quayside and Powderham Castle.
